In July 2010, Phil heard a voice asking “Will you go anywhere?”. That call led to an initial three-month visit to Nepal, volunteering with The United Mission to Nepal (UMN).

A {Phool} in Nepal is a pictorial document of that visit in 2011.

‘Phool’ is the nickname given to Phil by the children of his best friends. When they were young and couldn’t pronounce ‘Phil’, they called him ‘Phool‘. The name stuck and has been encouraged by many!

‘Phool’ in Nepali means ‘flower’.

Through his step of faith and sacrifice, Phil received more than he ever dreamt of; a ministry, a sense of purpose, and a wife!

Phil went on to spend 10 years volunteering with UMN in Nepal. In 2013 he married Pratiksha, after they met while both working for UMN.

This beautiful book takes you right to the heart of Nepali culture, its deep beauty, history, joys, and sadness too.

Allow the words and pictures to take you there, but more than that, to enable you to imagine what God might do in your life if you ask, take courage, and a step of faith.
