A BOOK BY MY DAD · BRIAN RAWLINGS

Mission Madagascar

Five weeks. A new culture. A journal full of stories.

In late 1996, Brian and Sheila Rawlings travelled to Mandritsara, Madagascar. What began as a few notes to remember their visit soon became a daily journal, capturing the surprises, humour and everyday encounters of life in an unfamiliar culture.

Written from a visitor’s perspective, Mission Madagascar offers a personal glimpse of Christian mission and the people behind it. The revised edition adds the story of how the journey began and an update on Brian’s involvement with the work through to 2021.
